Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox made it through on an allowance for students as well as working part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her skills compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance on I.T.V's talents program New Faces. She was the main vocalist of The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. This is where she first got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut record Diva. It came out in 1993. In both commercial terms and critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favorite soul, jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection consisting of four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her album Now I Let it go... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a philanthropist, activist, and singer. Following a modest recognition as part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox began her solo career with her debut album Diva in the year 1992. It was the basis of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is a studio album that features covers of songs like No MoreILove Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums as well as her compilation album contain a variety of tracks. |
